Kaikoura’s very own craft beer festival hosted by Emporium Brewing.
Craft Beer, Cider, Wine, Food, Music & Mini Golf!
This is a great little festival, purposely small with only 6-8 breweries to keep it a chilled and relaxed afternoon with a focus on great craft beer and food from around the region. Limited to a maximum of 300 attendees, get your tickets quick so you don’t miss out!

The country comes to town – bringing you horses, livestock, produce, competitions, and entertainment in the bay! You will be surprised what you find there!
The Kaikoura A&P Show is followed by the PGG Wrightson Show Jumping Circuit on the Sunday.

Kaikoura Longboard Festival 2019
The fully sanctioned race track, situated just outside of the Kaikoura township is a perfect location. With scenic views over the beautiful east coast, the track winds down one kilometer of smooth pavement allowing riders in packs of four to navigate down six corners at speeds of up to 80km/h; Creating New Zealand’s premier downhill skateboarding event.

Individuals, groups and organisations promote their hobbies and interests and raise funds. Locals, as well as visitors sell Art & Craft, produce, plants, new and used items. Plenty to do for the family with the ‘Adventure Playground’ and the scooter/ skateboard area for the children. If wet held in the School Hall.
Thin Ice – Celebrating Antarctic Day
Celebrating Antarctic Day – an event at the Kaikoura Museum.
It will include an introductory talk by world-renowned Antarctic scientist, Bryan Storey, retired professor Antarctic Studies followed by a screening of the award-winning film “Thin Ice”. Film maker and director Simon Lamb, associate director of Geophysics at Victoria University will also be attending to talk about the film and join Bryan Storey for Q and A session on Antarctica afterwards.
